The Brazilian-born fashion designer Tatiane Moribe, currently based in New York, continues to make waves in the fashion industry with her remarkable talent and versatility. Since our last encounter in 2021, Moribe has been involved in various exciting projects, showcasing her exceptional skills both at Zelik NYC and in the world of television and film.

Zelik NYC: Designing and Innovating

As a designer at Zelik NYC, Moribe has played a vital role in the development and delivery of collections. Her work encompasses a range of tasks, including working on colorways, sketching technical drawings, sourcing new materials, and serving as a liaison between factories and the creative director. When asked about her daily work at Zelik, Moribe explains, “I work directly with the Creative Director. We divide our time between meetings and research for the new collections, often drawing inspiration from architecture. We sketch together multiple versions of earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets until we have three drops: day, night, and party. Then comes the technical part, where we create technical sketches and communicate with factories until we have the final product.”
